The K Ranch is 14± miles northwest of Pearsall and 67± miles south of San Antonio. The property fronts US HWY 57.

The terrain has a gentle roll to it with sufficient elevation changes offering great views in all directions, a rarity of South Texas. The property is mostly brush, typical of South Texas, with one small food plot area and a few oak trees. This property has been in the same family since the early ’80s. An enormous amount of effort and resources went into creating an elaborate system of hunting senderos and right of ways for a property of its size. With those additions to the property, an ideal amount of edge for wildlife browsing and viewing that is very well maintained has been created. The roads are impeccably wide and smooth allowing easy access to all parts of the ranch in any direction without needing four-wheel drive or lifted vehicles.

The entire perimeter is 8’ game fenced. The fencing is in good shape and creates one pasture. There is a small set of cattle working pens connected to a “cattle trap” pen. The headquarters area includes a water well house, an insulated pressure pump house, a concrete three-ring water storage tank, cold game storage, a tractor shed, a workshop, septic system, and a lawn irrigation system. The ranch also features a pier-and-beam built two-bedroom / one-bathroom, fully-furnished cabin with a covered front porch and viewing deck. The viewing deck sits on top of the cabin offering views in all directions as well as a 300± yard shooting range. Near the cattle pens is an implement shed which currently stores the feed auger.

K Ranch is home to javelina, wild hogs, dove, quail, turkey, coyotes, and whitetail typical of South Texas. Dove hunting in this county can be fantastic. The listing agent, Craig Wilson, is very experienced with whitetail management and can offer ideas on how to improve the whitetail herd.

Water for the property includes one 1,200’± deep water well drilled into the Carrizo formation with a new five-HP bottom hole pump set at 670’±, a 2” water line feeds one earthen stock tank lined with clay that holds water very well, and two cattle water troughs that ensure a year-round water source for livestock and wildlife. There are also two shallow non-working wells at the headquarters.
