MARCH 2010 MONTHLY TEXAS RANCHES UPDATE
GREAT NEWS: John Nielsen-Gammon, a professor of atmospheric sciences at Texas A&M University who serves as the Texas' state climatologist, has pronounced the last drought officially over. The 5 year old drought that started in January of 2005 is said to have been more severe in Texas than the drought of the 1950's.
Our showings and sales continue to be rolling at a good pace. In talking with appraisers and surveyors, they are all staying busy. The pace is not where it was several years ago, but buyers and sellers are still active for good properties. Currently we have new ranches coming on line in Duval, Real, Bandera and Live Oak, Counties that we will be Exclusively Marketing.
A couple of our sellers have indicated that they would be willing to look at all offers. One in particular has two ranches on the market with us and would take a greatly reduced price to move one. Call to discuss other deals that have available.
