The Headquarters Ranch is a hunting and cattle ranch located just southeast of Sonora. Terrain on the ranch is rolling with some nice flat bottom land. The road system on the ranch is in good shape and abundant native wildlife roams the property. The ranch includes a house, barns, and cattle pens.
Location
The ranch is located approximately 18 miles SE of Sonora of a paved County Road, and access via a deeded easement.
Land
The Headquarters Ranch is a nice hunting and cattle ranch located just southeast of Sonora. The rolling terrain also contains some nice flat bottom land. Live oak and juniper provide excellent cover in the draws, while mesquite flats thrive in the deep soil pockets of the property. The road system on the ranch is in good shape, making almost the entire ranch accessible. A nice 10 +/- acre flat near the headquarters could become an excellent food plot or milo field to improve bird hunting. There are three water wells and two stock tanks scattered across the ranch. Native wildlife roams the property for hunting opportunities. A house, barns, and cattle pens are located at the headquarters.
Improvements
The ranch headquarters has an older home, two barns and a set of cattle pens close by. Electricity lines run through the ranch in several places.
Wildlife
Native Sutton County wildlife on the ranch includes herds of free roaming axis and whitetail deer, turkey, hogs and dove.
Water
The ranch is well watered with three wells strategically located in the south, central and north areas of the ranch. The two additional stock tanks also provide water to livestock and game.
